Obituary of William G. Jeffords Jr.

William G. Jeffords Jr., 27, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, October 21, 2015. Born June 18, 1988 in Saratoga Springs, NY he was the son of William (Kim) Jeffords Sr. of Buskirk and Sheila Waite Jeffords of Schuylerville. Billy was a 2007 graduate of Greenwich High School. He loved helping people and had been employed at the Greenwich Transfer Station, Greenwich Tire, Eastern Hay Company, Shelter Enterprise, and most recently at Hallview Holsteins in Fort Ann. He was a country boy at heart who loved four wheeling, his 2 boys, and his dog Tater. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Robert and Margaret Jeffords. Survivors in addition to his parents include his wife and companion of 10 years, Elizabeth Mattison Jeffords and his 2 sons, Carter and Rylan Jeffords, all of Fort Ann; 2 sisters, Samantha (Josh) Jeffords of Schuylerville and Kayla Bibee of Cambridge; 2 nephews, Bryson and Liam; his Aunt Kathy Wold, Uncle Bob "Tuna" Fish, and Aunt Natalie McDougal of Greenwich and Aunt Cheryl Waite Macken of Larimore, ND; maternal grandparents, Bob and Barb Fish of Greenwich; and his father and mother-in-law, Ronny (Karen) Mattison of Fort Ann and Jill (Kevin) Welch of Hadley Luzerne. A memorial service will be held at 7pm Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 80 Main St., Greenwich with Rev. Martin Fisher, officiating. A reception will follow at the American Legion, Abeel Ave., Greenwich. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4-7pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Greenwich.
