Obituary of Alina M. Burgess

Alina M. Burgess, 69, a resident of Mountain Rd., passed away peacefully Monday, November 30, 2015 surrounded by her family. Born September 10, 1946 in Stuttgart, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Anna Pankowski. Mrs. Burgess was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband of 43 years, William M. Burgess Sr. of Greenwich; her children, Erik (Lindsay) Burgess, Robert (Joanne) Stein, Suzanne (Michael) O'Konski, and William (Kathleen) Burgess Jr.; and 5 grandchildren, Sara, Elizabeth, Molly, Michael, and Jack. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10am Friday, December 4, 2015 at St. Joseph's Church, with Rev. Martin Fisher, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 5-8pm at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 80 Main St., Greenwich.
