Obituary of Teresa Mary Corsetti

Teresa Mary Corsetti, 94, a resident of Saratoga St., passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at St. Mary's Hospital in Troy. Born December 17, 1921 in Schuylerville, she was the daughter of the late Guy and Mary Neroni Corsetti. Teresa loved all sports, baseball, basketball, football, it didn't matter and she rooted for the home teams. Her love of sports was only exceeded by her love of faith, her very large family and her community. She was a communicant of Notre Dame-Visitation Church. She spent her life in the service of others from opening the first Stewarts store in Schuylerville to delivering Meals on Wheels and volunteering at the Greater Schuylerville Youth Program where she was known as "Granny". Her last years were spent caring for members of her family, several of whom passed away before her. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Laura Scuirba, and brothers, Anthony, Alfred, Joseph, Guy, and Richard. Survivors include her sister, Elizabeth Corsetti of Schuylerville; brother, James (Sandra) Corsetti of Newburgh, NY; and many nieces and nephews and their spouses, grand nieces, grand nephews, and cousins. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10am Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Notre Dame-Visitation Church in Schuylerville with Rev. Martin Fisher, officiating. Spring burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
