Obituary of Elise J. Townsend

Elise Jeanne Townsend, 72, of 323 Blackhouse Road, Fort Edward, NY passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving husband and children on Saturday, March 5, 2016. Born on June 26, 1943 in Middle Falls, NY, Elise was the daughter of Victor and Arlene LeClaire. Elise devoted her life to her family and friends. She was happily married to John for 33 years. Over the years she enjoyed traveling across the country with her husband John, shopping along the way, and many cruises to the Caribbean. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. Her favorite holiday was Christmas where her house became decorated as a winter wonderland. Elise was a familiar face to the Greenwich community as she spent many years working at The Golden Krust Bakery and Video Korner II. She could also be found developing her countless pictures at the local CVS. She was able to capture endless photo albums for all her family to enjoy. They will provide life long memories for those she left behind. She was predeceased by both her parents and her Stepfather, Henry Jeffords. Survivors include her husband John, her sister Carol Dudley and brother Victor LeClaire; three sons, Phil (Mary Ann), Rick (Vickie), and Shayne (Jennifer) Spiezio; eight grandchildren, Philip and his companion Kelly, Jeremy, Tori, Alyssa, Arianna, and Jocelyn, Andre (Amber) Stillman; two great grandchildren, Kaili and Lexis. A funeral service will be held at 10 am Friday, March 11, 2016 at Flynn Bros Inc., Funeral Home, 80 Main St, Greenwich, NY with the Rev. Keith Mann officiating. Burial will immediately follow in the Stump Church Cemetery in North Cambridge. Family and friends are invited to a reception at 14 Queens Gate Drive, Greenwich, NY, 12834 after the burial. Friends may call from 5 to 7 on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at Flynn Bros. Inc., Funeral Home, 80 Main St., Greenwich.
