Obituary of Elizabeth Wilson Abbott

Elizabeth Wilson Abbott, 89, a resident of Washington Center in Argyle, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Glens Falls Hospital after a long illness. Born November 25, 1926 in Greenwich, NY she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Katherine Chambers Wilson. Mrs. Abbott attended Greenwich Central School and was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. Her family was her life. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by an infant son, Gordon Leslie Abbott and her husband, Gordon Abbott. Survivors include her sister, Hannah McGrouty of Greenwich; her son, Raymond (Marjorie) Abbott of Schuylerville; her daughter, Patricia (George) Perkins of Greenwich; 5 grandchildren, Amy (Todd) McPhail, Julie (David) Mosher, and Jill (Steve) Autiello of Greenwich, Andrew (Allison) Abbott of West Greenwich, RI and Adam Abbott of Jacksonville, FL; 7 great grandchildren, Derrick and Aidan McPhail, Cameron and Carson Mosher, Reese and Grace Autiello, and Alexander Abbott. There will be no calling hours. A funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family and interment will be in the Greenwich Cemetery.
