Karen and Family: I grew up in Hartwick two houses from the Winslow family and have known all of them my entire life. Chet's brother John was one of my best friends while we were growing up together and I have spent hundreds of hours at the Winslow house in Hartwick and the Winslow camp on Otsego Lake. Although Chet was 3 years old than me, I have always been friends with him - we always called him "Little Chet" and his father "Big Chet". I had not seen Little Chet for a number of years but kept track of him through Mike and Maria. He really enjoyed life to the fullest. I was very sorry to hear of his passing and my thoughts are with you at this difficult time. I plan to attend the memorial service on May 6th. The Winslow family holds a very special place in my life and in my heart. Big Chet had a great influence on me during my younger years and he is the reason that I attended Syracuse University (his and his wife's alma mater). I always wanted to be an attorney at law like Big Chet but my high school guidance counselor (damn him!) "directed" me into another profession. I hope that Chet did not suffer at the end of his life - may he rest in peace. K. Wayne Bunn

Chet Sr. Was very nice me and helped me out legally when I was young. I miss him and Florence and always remember them at the golf course as a kid! I'm deeply sorry for your loss of his son; Chester. A very kind family and I know Michael as we would sometimes play golf together at leather stocking when mr Kroll was there! Again my sympathies to your loved ones

My deepest condolences to the entire Winslow family. I worked with Chet for many years at the Arsenal. He brought joy to all who knew him. His laugh was addicting. He was a friend, mentor and a very special person who will be truly missed.
