Obituary of Mary D. Carr

Mary D. Pendrak Carr, 98, a lifelong resident of Schuylerville, passed away Friday, March 31, 2017 at the Wesley Health Care Center in Saratoga Springs. Mary was born in Schuylerville on August 14, 1918 to the late Emile and Edith Ruff DeGrechie. For several years she was employed at Sheridan Catheter in Argyle and General Electric in Hudson Falls, also she had been an employee at the Schuyler Farms Dairy Barn. She was a lifetime communicant of Notre Dame/Visitation Church in Schuylerville and was a member of the churches St. Anne Rosary Society and CDA Court Stella Maris #396. She was also a member of the Old Saratoga Seniors and the Quaker Springs Sunshiners. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband’s Albert Pendrak and Robert L. Carr Jr.; brother Anthony DeGrechie; sister Rita Mosher and step-son Lee Carr. Survivors include her children, Joy (Lee) Bandy of Morgantown, PA, Albin (Sharlene) Pendrak of Schuylerville, and Penny (Bill) Durrin of Saratoga Springs; step-son Robert (Karen) Carr of Greenwich; sister Edythe Burch of Schuylerville; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10am Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Notre Dame/Visitation , 18 Pearl St, Schuylervile, NY, 12871 with the Rev. Martin Fisher officiating. Spring burial will take place in the Notre Dame Cemetery in Schuylerville.
