I am very sorry to hear of Joan's passing. She was an amazing woman, very loving and extremely generous with her time. It's rare that someone like Joan comes along with such dedication and commitment to a volunteer project over a period of two decades.
Joan was one of the first volunteers Bridging People and Places had. She started knitting teddy bear sweaters, filled with her abundant love, in 1996, twenty years ago! Thousands of her sweaters are now on the teddy bears owned by campers and past campers from Double H Hole in the Woods Ranch.
She will be missed by her dedicated family, her friends, and the Bridging People and Places community.

To the family and friends of Joan K. Sullivan;
I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I hope that the pleasant memories you have of Joan will bring you some comfort at this time. I lost both my parents and thinking on God's promises helped me with my grief. One scripture in particular is Revelation 21:4 that reads " God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away". Our Heavenly Father did not intend for us to die but to live forever on a beautiful paradise earth. He promises that mans last enemy death will be destroyed. (1 Corinthians 15:26). When that happens the scripture in Revelation 21:4 will be fulfilled and we will no longer have to say goodbye to our loved ones. Until then be assured that God knows the pain in your heart and will comfort you now.
