Mr. Brownell was a great man and a dear friend to me when I was a child riding his school bus. I went to Stump Church occasionally and was always delighted to see him there too. He came to my concerts and showed me so much encouragement, warmth and love. He will be missed greatly not only by you, his family, but by the many lives he touched during his time here on Earth. I was lucky to know him.
My sincere condolences for your loss.

Eleanor and Family,
I am so sorry to hear of not only your loss, but the town of Greenwich. I know how much Loris loved that precious little town of ours and he was one of the top movers and shakers. I remember him giving me a beautiful bouquet of flowers for traveling the farthest to a GCS alumni banquet. I'm not so sure that I had come the farthest, but I think he was giving me "family" partiality!
I have been a widow for 9 years. It has been both an upward and a downward journey. I have come through the toughest times now, but couldn't have done it without the love of my God, my family, and my friends. My son and I often include Fred in our family get-togethers by remembering all his craziness and love of life. He, like Loris, was often the life of the party!!
It's not how long we lived but how we lived that matters.
Love and Blessings,
Peggy Clinton Way

To the family of Loris,
I am not sure when I first met Loris but I was impressed with how active he was in the community. He was always so good natured. Even when he had difficulty getting around, Loris would get himself into Steve's Diner with a smile on his face and ask after the rest of us. I will miss his constant presence in the community.
Blessings to him and to the rest of you,
Kay Johnson
