On behalf of all the members of the class of 1962 of Schuylerville High School, we honor the memory of our late friend and fellow classmate, Richard Mellen, whom we fondly nicknamed "Mouse." Richard was a kind and caring kid with a great sense of humor and a friend to all. He will be sadly missed and always remembered. We send our sincere condolences to Richard's family, friends, and members of his religious community.

Dear Priscilla and all who love Rick,
Yes, that is present tense, because we still love him! He still exists, he's just not with us on earth anymore.
He's one of the dear brothers that God gave me when I left my blood-relatives behind to go through field training, language school in Costa Rica, and then my life work in Peru.
I got to share some memories with him and Priscilla, not too many weeks before he went home. They were in my AFTC group, and in one of my Spanish classes in Costa Rica, and then in Peru. When I get to my heavenly home, Rick will probably kid me about whose fault it was when our canoe tipped over!
What an energetic worker for God! And he treasures his friends. Yes, there's that present tense again. Because of Jesus, his heart still treasures.

Dear Priscilla
It was quite a shock to hear of Rick's death. It seems that I should still be able to see him always busy and with ideas and thoughts to share.
I want to express again my appreciation for Rick's months of service at the Regional Office where he was respected and well liked. Rick provided good service to the missionaries who came in to pick up books and videos and literature and also served those who made orders for material across the eight state region.
I will always remember a humorous reading that Rick put together using some 30 or 40 titles of Wycliffe books and videos. It featured the life story of Alice and me and was one of the highlights of the party that year.
God bless you in these next days.
I am comforted knowing that underneath you are the everlasting arms of God.
In His Grace Wayne Huff
