Obituary of George C. Kahnle

George C. Kahnle, 82, a resident of Gates Ave., died Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at Wesley Health Care Center in Saratoga Springs after a short illness. Born August 12, 1931 in Albany, NY he was the son of the late George and Margaret (Stanton) Kahnle. George was a US Navy Veteran having served from 1952-1953. He was an Antique Dealer for 40 years and was a designer of Traditional Hooked Rugs. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Joseph Kahnle and sister, Peg Kiley. Survivors include his companion of 55 years, Richard E. LaBarge of Victory Mills; his brother, Walter Kahnle of Kennesaw, GA; 3 nephews and 1 niece. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11am Friday, February 14, 2014 at Notre Dame-Visitation Church in Schuylerville with Rev. Martin Fisher, officiating. Burial will follow in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 4-7pm at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 13 Gates Ave., Schuylerville.
